Porter and Chester Institute (PCI) offers a variety of different programs that students may be able to get involved in. While some programs are offered 100% on-campus and others are offered in a hybrid format, there are also programs that can be taken 100% online.

Computer Aided Drafting and Design

• Program length: 12 months
• Skills learned: how to draw 2D and 3D (modeling) plans for buildings, how to draw 2D and 3D (modeling) plans for manufacturing, work with programs such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and SolidWorks, fundamentals of construction and manufacturing processes, etc.

Computer and Network Technology

• Program length: 12 months
• Skills learned: how to install computer hardware and software, thorough understanding of networking interface components, cabling, and connectivity, how to securely connect to computers to company intranets and the Cloud, how to become prepared for certification in A+, MCP+, and Network+, etc.

Additional online training opportunities are available through YTI Career institute, a wholly owned affiliate institution of Porter and Chester institute.

Business Administration: Business Operations Management

• Program length: 20 months
• Skills learned: social media integration and selling techniques, inventory control methods, supply chain management, financial analysis and budgeting, writing a start-up business plan, retail operations, etc.

Computer Aided Drafting and Design

• Program length: 20 months
• Skills learned: how to use AutoCAD software, how to draw residential layouts and commercial buildings, how to prepare working drawing of mechanical parts, how to draw subdivisions for residential communities, how to use SolidWorks software to create 3D models, etc.

Computer and Data Management

• Program length: 20 months
• Skills learned: installation, administration, and troubleshooting of networks, cybersecurity concepts and implementations of security solutions, installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization products and cloud platforms, router setup and configuration, support for office applications, etc.

Health Information Management

• Program length: 20 months
• Skills learned: managing electronic health records, ICD-10 coding, and PCS coding, understanding disease of diagnostic methods, applying law and ethics to health information related scenarios, collecting quality healthcare data, applying interpreting statistics, medical terminology, etc.

Medical Billing and Coding

• Program length: 10 months
• Skills learned: how to create medical records, how to code in CPT and HCPCS format, how to schedule patients, how to manage insurance claims, anatomy and physiology, how to communicate in medical terminology language, how to code in ICD-10-CM/PCS format, etc.

Respiratory Therapy

• Program length: 20 months
• Skills learned: blood gas analysis, patient assessment, newborn and pediatric care, oxygen therapy delivery, smoking cessation, airway management, etc.

Veterinary Technician

• Program length: 20 months
• Skills learned: skeletal and muscular anatomy, veterinary terminology, synthesis and function of macromolecules, caloric and nutrient requirements, lymphatic and immune systems, etc.
